Hi all,

So I did it! I know it seems really silly but for me it was a big hurdle, my first depomedrone in the bum. So I asked all the dos and don'ts and possible side effects but not the most important question

WHEN WILL IT START WORKING?!!!

24 hours later and my left hand and and hip still bringing tears to the eyes. I know its different for everyone but a chink of light at the end of the tunnel would be helpful.

Seeing the consultant on Tuesday so we'll see what next then.

Thanks
Sara

Hi Sara,
Had one just recently too, and asked the same question, as the first one I had made no difference. The answer I was given, was to think of the Depomedrone as a sponge and that it can only soak up so much, as in the inflamation. My second and third ones worked really well, although can't remember how quickly. Hope this makes sense, and hope that yours works really quickly for you.

Glad you had your depo Sara. Hope it begins to work quickly.

I have had several and it is exactly how candy explains, I was given that explanation as well.

I am due to have one in next couple weeks to help me as well. When had them before took about
5 days to begin to work and lasted 6 / 7 weeks

Good luck with Specialist

Hi Sarah

I've had several over the years and nearly all started to become effective within 48 hours and lasted for around 3-5 weeks.

Hope you are starting to get some relief by now.

Best wishes...

Smile

Thanks for the chinks of light. Must say that my left hip has eased up a bit and I can now get upstairs a lot more easily. The other usual suspects are still having a bit of a laugh but forever hopeful of Cornwall
